Wall of Wine 2010
Start the evening out by visiting the ever-popular Wall of Wine located on the upper balconies of the Prestonwood ballroom! Donated bottles of wine, valued at $15 or more, are nicely wrapped and displayed for purchase. There will be an assortment of red and white wines displayed separately on each balcony.
How does it work?
Auction attendees have the opportunity to buy up to 2 bottles per person for $10 per bottle! Everybody’s happy – you get a bottle of wine worth more than what you paid and our school benefits from the proceeds! However, the success of the Wall greatly depends on donations from you.
How do I donate?
- 1. If you have a bottle already, we’ll arrange to pick it up from you. There will also be an opportunity to drop your wine off during morning carpool the week of January 25th.
- 2. If you need to purchase a bottle of wine you may do so anywhere. For your convenience we’ve arranged an agreement with The Wine Merchant at Preston Corners and Anytime Wines at Lochmere Pavilion. They can help you make your selections and you can even leave your wine there for us to pick up! Best part is they’ll give you 15% off of your purchase.
- 3. A monetary donation is also an option if you decide not to purchase wine directly. There is a Napa Valley sponsorship level of $500, which provides donors a sponsor sign at the Wall of Wine and a quarter page advertisement in the program.
- 4. Get creative! Organize a social outing for a parent’s night out. Plan an evening at a house or restaurant and have everybody who attends bring a bottle of wine. It’s a great way to get to know the other parents in your child’s class while collecting wine at the same time!
