The LifeTeen program is a year round program offering high school teens at St. Michael the Archangel Church an opportunity to have fun and learn about their faith.

LifeTeen Mass - Sundays at 6:00 PM

The LifeTeen Mass is celebrated every Sunday night at 6:00pm.  Teens and their families experience the depth of God's love through the Word, the community, and the Eucharist. The LifeTeen Mass focuses on teens and their families through relevant homilies, modern music, and a family environment that bring the Mass to life.  Just as the celebration of the Eucharist is the center of our lives, the LifeTeen Mass is the heart of the LifeTeen program.

Life Night Program - Sundays following LifeTeen Mass

The Life Night Program follows the LifeTeen Mass from 7:30-9:00 PM, is the primary source of religious education for high school teens. It is designed to serve the spiritual, educational, and social needs of our teens in a relaxed comfortable environment in a way that teens understand.  Our Program follows a format of 2 teaching nights, an issue night and a social night.

Nite” Life - Wednesdays from 7:00 to 8:30 (See schedule for dates)

“Nite” Life is an evening you can come and enjoy some down time with friends.  Our Core Team will have a short discussion on a relevant topic to teens and then the rest of the evening is open for you to chill out and eat some junk food.  We have available in the Youth Room (top floor of the Parish Center) a big screen TV, video games, movies, a pool table, a ping-pong table and board games.  We encourage you to invite your friends for this evening of fun.  It's a great time to meet new people and students from other schools.

Bible Study - Thursdays from 7:00 to 9:00

This is definitely NOT your typical Bible study! Our goal is to have a very interactive and dynamic time where we try to find out how God is speaking to each of us through His Word. It is held every Thursday night from 7:00-9:00 PM in the Youth Room (top floor of the Parish Center) and is open to all high school students.

Service Projects

LifeTeen supports multiple service projects.  They include but are not limited to the following: Adopt-A-Highway, 30 Hour Famine, Helen Wright Women's Center (2nd Wednesday of every month - parents needed to drive), Community Can Drive (Collect can goods for Catholic Parish Outreach), Thanksgiving Food Drive, Fall Festival, etc.

Mission Trips

LifeTeen has run mission trips to Mississippi and Boston.  These weeklong trips provide the teens with an opportunity to give and receive a very special and often life changing experience. Check the bulletin for trips for the coming year.

Servant Leadership

We have a program for 9th and 10th graders called f.i.s.h. (Lil fish) this is an acronym for Faithful In Serving Him.  This program is totally volunteer for the grade level and their primary responsibility is assisting with the EDGE program, which is the middle school program.  We also offer a program for our Juniors and Seniors called F.I.S.H. (Big FISH).  Their primary responsibility is to assist the Core Team with Life Nights and retreats.

Life Support

This program for parents and parishioners is vital to our high school youth ministry program.  We have so many volunteer opportunities for you to get involved in.  We have several levels of commitment you could consider to say “yes” to our ministry.  Please go to our website to get more detailed information and to download an information pamphlet.

Special Events

Stimulating activities - just for the fun of it: Ski Trip, Midnight Bowling, Movie Nights, March for Life, Adventure Landing Lock-in, The Quest.

Diocesan Events

Back to Earth, Youth Convention, Search Retreats-We encourage participation in our greater Catholic community through Diocesan activities.

Retreats

Fall and Spring Retreats-These weekends truly make a difference to the teens.  On a retreat the teens can experience the work of the Holy Spirit and experience their relationship with God in a more personal way. There is an additional fee for a retreat.

Confirmation

Fee

There is a fee of $100.00 per year for High School Faith Formation.  In the year when your teen will be taking an additional class for confirmation, the fee is still $100.00.  We do not charge an additional fee for this additional program.
