St. Michael's Mission Statement: "I give you a new commandment: Love one
another just as I have loved you. It is by your love for one another,
that everyone will recognize you as my disciples." (John 13:34-35).
St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church is a worshipping servant
community dedicated to ministering to our members and to the greater
community in the image given to us by Jesus. This ministry is centered
around the sacraments and our acts of faith, hope and charity.
The Social Action Committee(SAC) is dedicated to making our parish's mission
statement a vibrant reality through charitable works, advocacy, and
affirmation of each other as a worker in the Lord's vineyard. Our sub
committees are active ministries serving in so many ways: Parish
Education on Catholic Social Teaching; Caring for families in need
through our Parish Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Lenten food and gift
giving and Furniture Ministry; Migrant Ministry; Disaster Relief;
Crop Walk; Direct Assistance and Crisis Intervention; Affordable
Housing Activities; Dignity of Work/Labor Issues; Cultural Diversity
Programs; Environmental Stewardship; AIDS Care Team; Sister
Parish Program; Advocating for a moratoruim on the death penalty.
